EasyJet passenger said 'I'm horny' and tried to sexually assault child on flight
A man has been convicted of attempting to sexually assault a child on an EasyJet flight after consuming excessive alcohol.
Ramiz Idrizi, a 38-year-old man, has been convicted of multiple offenses, including the attempted sexual assault of a girl under 13, during an EasyJet flight from Paris to Belfast International on November 14. During the flight, after consuming most of five small bottles of wine, he reportedly declared 'Iām horny' and attempted to touch the child. The court hearing, which took place at Ballymena Magistrates Court, revealed the harrowing nature of Idrizi's actions, which were also directed towards the child's mother when confronted.
The court not only dealt with the serious charge of attempted sexual assault but also included other offenses such as being drunk on an aircraft and using abusive language towards cabin crew members. Idrizi's behavior escalated when another male passenger tried to intervene, resulting in an apprehension assault charge against him. His claims of innocence regarding one assault charge concerning a woman were dismissed by the court, showcasing the unequivocal gravity of his actions during the flight.
