The Piraeus Port Authority has donated new equipment to the Hellenic Coast Guard to enhance their operational capabilities in Piraeus.
The Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) has made a significant donation to the Hellenic Coast Guard, aimed at bolstering the operational capabilities of the security forces at Greece's largest port. This partnership underscores the PPA's long-standing commitment to enhancing security measures in the Piraeus port area, crucial for the daily activities of Coast Guard officers.
The donation consists of six motorcycles, including five years of technical support, alongside essential modifications such as beacons, sirens, special lights, and microphone installations, all designed to aid in the effective functioning of the Coast Guard. Additionally, thirty sets of protective rider equipment, which include helmets, gloves, and boots, were included. The total value of this generous donation reaches 70,000 euros, demonstrating significant investment in maritime safety and security.
This initiative reflects a broader context of collaborative efforts between the Piraeus Port Authority and the Coast Guard to enhance operational efficiency and promote safety within the port area. By providing essential resources, the PPA aims to ensure that Coast Guard personnel are better equipped to handle the challenges of maritime security, which is vital for the safety of both local and national maritime operations.
