The Movie 'King and the Man' Faces Plagiarism Claims Amid 12 Million Viewers

The hit movie 'King and the Man' is facing allegations of plagiarism regarding its script, which the production company has firmly denied.

The film 'King and the Man' has crossed the 11 million viewer mark, but is now entangled in controversy with allegations of plagiarism concerning its screenplay. The accusations surfaced on November 9 when MBN reported that similarities existed between the film's script and a drama written by a late playwright. The family of the playwright claims that substantial portions of the 2000s drama 'Eom Heung-do,' penned by their deceased relative, resemble the storyline of 'King and the Man.' They also noted that the playwright, known to be a descendant of the series' historical figure, submitted the script to broadcasting stations, although it did not lead to a production. Furthermore, one year before his passing, the playwright entered the script into a broadcasting competition.
