The picturesque island of Fernando de Noronha recently hosted the first stage of the Neuronha Surf Circuit 2026, specifically on the stunning Praia Cacimba do Padre. The surfing competition, which attracted both local talents and invited competitors, is set to have three stages throughout the year, showcasing the vibrant surfing culture of the region. A total prize pool of R$ 20,000 was up for grabs in the Professional category, indicating the significance and appeal of this event to surfers in the area.

In an exciting finale, local surfer Patrick Tamberg emerged victorious, taking home R$ 2,500 for his impressive performance. Other notable competitors included Buday Santos, who secured second place with a prize of R$ 1,250, and Kauai Lobato in third, awarded R$ 750. The event gathered a total of 70 registrants, highlighting the increasing popularity of surfing in Fernando de Noronha, which is known for its exceptional waves and breathtaking views.
