A new state nursery school will open in Klaipėda in September
A new state nursery school named 'Tauras' is set to open in the rapidly growing Tauralaukis district of Klaipėda, aiming to meet the increasing demand for educational institutions in the area.
The Tauralaukis district of Klaipėda is experiencing rapid growth, leading to an increased demand for educational facilities. In response, a modern nursery school, named 'Tauras' through public voting, will provide more childcare spaces and better support for young families choosing to live in the area. The Mayor of Klaipėda, Arvydas Vaitkus, highlights the importance of this initiative in facilitating local family living conditions.
During the renovation process, one of the older school buildings has been significantly expanded and adapted to modern educational needs. The new facility will take in three groups that are currently housed in modular buildings next to the existing nursery 'Obelėlė,' along with the establishment of seven new groups. In total, the completed nursery will operate with ten groups, creating 130 new preschool educational spaces for approximately 190 children.
The newly reconstructed premises will include a kitchen equipped with essential appliances, administrative offices, a multipurpose meeting room, and an arts studio, reflecting a comprehensive approach to modern childcare facilities. This initiative not only enhances educational resources but also serves as a foundation for young families in the community, supporting them as they settle into this growing district of Klaipėda.
