Another school will be renovated in the capital: construction permit issued
A construction permit has been granted for the renovation of a school in Vilnius, aiming to improve educational infrastructure and increase student capacity.
The city of Vilnius is set to renovate a school, following a design proposed by the architectural firm "501 architects," which won an architectural competition. This project responds to community needs and is tailored to fit the area's characteristics. Following the renovation, the student capacity of the school will increase from 264 to 384, reflecting a commitment to enhancing educational facilities in the capital.
Mayor Valdas Benkunskas emphasized the ongoing investment in Vilnius' educational infrastructure, aiming to create modern and comfortable schools that meet current educational standards. The renovated school in the Žvėrynas district will provide a contemporary space for both students and the surrounding community, with architectural solutions designed to integrate harmoniously into the existing landscape and green environment of Žvėrynas.
In addition to the increase in student capacity, the total area of the building will nearly double from 2,204 square meters to 3,943 square meters. The two-story building, originally constructed in 1970, will undergo significant renovations to update its facilities and ensure a conducive learning environment for students in Vilnius.
