At least 1 killed, 12 injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine over the past day
Russian attacks in Ukraine have resulted in at least one death and twelve injuries within a 24-hour period as reported by local authorities.
In recent Russian attacks against Ukraine, at least one individual has lost their life and twelve others have sustained injuries according to local officials. On March 9, it was revealed that two ballistic missiles and 197 long-range attack drones, notably including 120 Shahed-type drones, were launched towards Ukrainian territories. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that they successfully shot down or jammed 161 of these drones, although 36 drones along with two ballistic missiles managed to hit their intended targets.
The city of Kharkiv was notably impacted where rescue operations concluded at a site that had been struck by a Russian ballistic missile on March 7. The final death toll from this prior incident stands at ten, with tragic reports confirming that two children were among the deceased. Additionally, in the village of Slatyne, one person was reported injured as a result of the ongoing violence. In the Donetsk Oblast, further casualties were recorded, including one civilian death in the village of Shabelkivka and three injuries in Druzhkivka, reaffirming the perilous situation in these areas.
The continued drone attacks have also inflicted injuries on civilians in frontline regions, with reports indicating that four individuals were hurt in Sumy.
