The online platform filmas.lv is featuring a special collection of films dedicated to the memory of renowned Latvian film director Jānis Streičs. His works have consistently found a place in 'best of' lists and have become nearly folkloric, reflecting the deep love and respect the Latvian public has for his contributions. Kristīne Matīsa, a representative of the National Culture Center (NKC), emphasized Streičs's phenomenal impact on the history of Latvian cinema.

The curated selection includes all of Streičs's classic films, allowing audiences to revisit this culturally historical treasure of Latvia. Among the featured works are popular comedies like 'Limuzīns Jāņu nakts krāsā' (1981) and 'Mans draugs – nenopietns cilvēks' (1975), both of which have become staples in Latvian cinematic history.
