The ALERTEX exercises took place over the weekend in Vilnius, drawing thousands of volunteer riflemen who participated in practical readiness checks under simulated conditions. Currently, the Lithuanian Riflemen Union boasts nearly 18,300 members, comprised of volunteers from various professions and age groups, including doctors, chefs, engineers, IT specialists, journalists, teachers, drivers, and businesspeople. This diverse membership underscores the union's role in enhancing national security, as individuals come together to strengthen their country's defense capabilities through voluntary action.
