Widespread shooting exercises will take place near Kaunas
The military exercises aim to evaluate the preparedness of shooters to respond to crises and strengthen partnerships with municipalities and various services.
The upcoming military exercises near Kaunas are designed to assess the readiness of local shooters for crises and emergency situations while enhancing partnerships with municipalities, different services, and businesses. As part of this initiative, shooters from the Kaunas city and district, as well as Raseiniai, Kedainiai, Jonava, Kaisiadorys, and Prienai regions, will have to report to a designated location equipped with their gear and firearms within a specified time frame upon receiving a call.
Linas Idzelis, the leader of the Lithuanian Shooter's Union, emphasized the importance of observing the real situation regarding the preparedness of these shooters, the equipment and firearms they possess, their morale, and motivation. The exercises will provide insights into what resources might be lacking, highlighting the need for better training and preparation in both armed and unarmed scenarios. This is part of a broader strategy to strengthen community resilience and readiness for national defense.
Additional invitations have been extended to the administrators of municipal administrations, medical institutions, law enforcement organizations, educational institutions, and the Kaunas garrison to participate in the shooting exercises on Saturday. This demonstrates a collaborative approach to ensure that various sectors of the community are aware of the efforts being made to bolster defense capabilities. Overall, the exercises reflect Lithuania's ongoing commitment to enhancing public safety and its defense structure.
