Two men have been remanded in custody until April 1 regarding the murder of a 68-year-old man in Christiansfeld, who was found dead on Wednesday. South East Jutland Police have reported that a total of six individuals are charged in the case, and they appeared in court today, where all maintained their innocence. The police believe that three individuals among the charged broke into the elderly man's home and subjected him to violent attacks, including being stabbed in the neck.
Among the individuals in custody, a 25-year-old man is suspected of murder, while a 35-year-old man is believed to have aided in the crime. Additionally, three of the arrested individuals, comprising two women aged 19 and 52, along with a 61-year-old man, have their arrests upheld for an additional three days. This extension allows the police more time to investigate before these individuals can be released.
The youngest suspect, a 19-year-old woman, has been released from custody. The police indicated that they believe there are at least two more accomplices not yet in custody, which highlights the ongoing investigation and the complexities involved in resolving the case. The matter is serious, given the nature of the crime and the ongoing threat posed by the remaining suspects at large.
