In a historic move towards infrastructure development in Madhya Pradesh's Vindhya region, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded contracts for the remaining 105 kilometers of National Highway-39 (NH-39) for the Singrauli section. This initiative is expected to pave the way for the highway's completion by April 2026. The development plan not only involves road construction but also includes a comprehensive network of heavy infrastructure, which is aimed at enhancing local connectivity and traffic management.

The project will feature various facilities such as 11 vehicular underpasses (VUP), one pedestrian underpass (PUP), and an advanced drainage system comprising 85 box culverts and 165 pipe culverts. These upgrades are designed to modernize the highway in accordance with global standards, providing a safer and more efficient traffic flow between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The highway will greatly facilitate the movement of both vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring smoother transit between regional hubs.
