A dog ran onto the ski track in Russia - It caused serious trouble
During the Russian National Ski Championships, a dog unexpectedly ran onto the track, causing a dramatic collision between skiers.
An unfortunate incident occurred during the 50-kilometer race at the Russian National Ski Championships when a dog suddenly ran onto the ski track, leading to a significant crash involving several competitors. The leading skiers were closely packed together on a gentle slope, and it appears that two of them collided with the dog, resulting in a chaotic situation where both skiers and the dog fell to the ground. A video of the incident captured the alarming scene.
One of the affected skiers, Arina Kusurgaševa, managed to continue her race after the incident but ultimately finished in seventh place. Unfortunately, another skier involved, Alina Kudisova, fell to the ground in pain after the collision, visibly distressed and crying as she clutched her thigh and hip area. After assessing her injuries, she untied her skis and did not continue in the competition.
Reports from Match TV indicated that Kudisova suffered a mild concussion and additional injuries to her tailbone, although the situation could have been worse. This incident raises concerns about safety protocols during sporting events, particularly when animals can potentially interfere. The event organizers may need to implement measures to prevent such occurrences in the future to ensure the safety of participants.
