Pioneering 24-hour gym plans international expansion

Gaviões 24h gym is planning to expand internationally to countries such as the United States, Panama, Mexico, Argentina, and Portugal as part of its corporate strategy named Legacy 2030.

Gaviões 24h, a pioneering model in the 24-hour gym sector, is embarking on international expansion plans to reach the United States, Panama, Mexico, Argentina, and Portugal, as reported in a corporate document. This initiative is encapsulated under the strategy named Legacy 2030, which aims to significantly increase the company's presence and market penetration in various regions. The ambitious goal is to expand its number of gym units from 100 to 300 by the end of the year, which would mark a 300% growth in its operational capacity. Furthermore, the company currently services 380,000 active students across its gyms in Brazil.

The Gaviões model offers franchisees the flexibility to operate as gym operators or as pure investors, catering to different business preferences. The required investment per unit ranges from R$ 2.8 million to R$ 7 million, which comes with a projected payback period of 30 months. This financial model is designed to attract a wide range of investors who are interested in entering the fitness industry, particularly within Brazil's growing health and wellness sector.

Having been established for 51 years, Gaviões transitioned to a franchising model only in 2019, signaling a strategic shift in its business operations. This change indicates the company’s drive towards modernization and scalability, focusing not only on the domestic market but also on international opportunities. The brand’s regionalization strategy aims to establish a robust presence in all Brazilian states, allowing it to tap into diverse markets while spreading its innovative gym model.
