Three friends from Oulu have achieved significant financial success with their game, Finnish Cottage Simulator, which earned nearly half a million euros in its first financial year.

In November 2024, a cottage simulation game called Finnish Cottage Simulator was released, bringing in impressive revenue for its developers, a group of friends in their twenties from Oulu, Finland. The trio, consisting of Veeti Kurkela, Juha Palo-oja, and Patrick Kurola, founded Ranela Games specifically for the development of this game. Their first fiscal year, running from September 21, 2024, to September 30, 2025, reported a substantial turnover of 901,000 euros, with a net profit reaching 408,000 euros. To celebrate this successful year, they distributed dividends totaling 32,600 euros to their shareholders.
