The 34th edition of the International Triathlon of Santos is scheduled to take place this Sunday, impacting traffic in the coastal city of Santos, São Paulo. Starting from the iconic Praia do Boqueirão, the event will lead to roadblocks and detours on various streets—primarily along the beach avenues and major routes like Conselheiro Nébias, São Francisco, Martins Fontes, João Pessoa, and the Elevated Aristides Bastos Machado. The city authorities have indicated that traffic interruptions will commence at 5 PM on Saturday and last until 2 PM on Sunday.

The municipal government has deployed significant resources to manage the events surrounding the triathlon, with approximately 100 traffic personnel from the Companhia de Engenharia de Tráfego (CET-Santos) planned to monitor the situation on the day of the race. Alongside traffic monitors, the Municipal Guard and Military Police will also be present to assist, ensuring public safety and facilitating traffic flow wherever possible. Additional public transportation routes will also be impacted as a result of the event, necessitating alternative travel arrangements for residents and visitors.
