The 16th edition of the Unimed Women's Circuit in Goiânia celebrates International Women's Day with a female-exclusive street race.
The O Popular newspaper is hosting the 16th edition of the Unimed Women's Circuit, an exclusively female street race held in celebration of International Women's Day. This year, the event takes place on Sunday, March 8, in Goiânia, with a single start time at 6:30 AM for participants to choose between 5 and 10 km courses. The route begins at Belcar Leapmotor along the BR-153 in the Alto da Glória neighborhood.
The initiative is designed not only as a competition but also as an invitation to inspire a transformation in daily routines, emphasizing both health and empowerment for women. Supported by Unimed Goiânia and ten partner brands, along with promotional activities from seven companies, the event highlights the importance of community involvement in fostering women's participation in sports.
According to the organizers, the Unimed Women's Circuit has become the foremost female-exclusive race in the state of Goiás, aligning with the values of sports, health, and female leadership on March 8. This event serves as a symbolic and practical acknowledgment of women's contributions and aims to inspire more women to engage with sports and empower themselves through active lifestyles.
