A severe accident occurred early Saturday morning on BR-262 in Nova Serrana, Brazil, involving three vehicles and resulting in a 22-year-old motorcyclist being left in critical condition. The incident was triggered by a silver Nissan Sentra that was reportedly driving in the wrong direction, leading to a head-on collision with a motorcycle carrying two riders.

According to reports by the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the impact of the collision threw the motorcycle and its occupants onto the road. Following this initial crash, another vehicle, a Fiat Pálio Week, struck the motorcycle, which was already down on the pavement. The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was quickly transported to São José Hospital in Nova Serrana, where he remains in a critical state. His passenger, a 19-year-old male, also sustained injuries and was taken to the city's Emergency Care Unit (UPA) by rescue services.
