Eduardo Werneck Stevens, a 31-year-old personal trainer and entrepreneur from Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, passed away after sustaining severe burns from an explosion in an apartment. The incident occurred on the night of Friday, October 6, resulting in approximately 90% of his body being burned. He was receiving treatment for his injuries at the Hospital Universitário Evangélico Mackenzie in Curitiba, known for its specialized care of burn victims, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries early in the morning.

Werneck was a well-known figure in his community, operating three fitness studios in Foz do Iguaçu under the name Edu Werneck Personal Studio. These studios offered personalized training services, diverging from the traditional gym model, and were located in the Porto Meira, Vila A, and Vila Yolanda neighborhoods. Following his tragic death, the studios have temporarily closed and displayed black banners as a sign of mourning for their founder.
