Eduardo Werneck Stevens, a 31-year-old personal trainer, suffered catastrophic injuries from an explosion followed by a fire in an apartment at approximately 12:20 AM on Thursday, in Foz do Iguaçu, western Paraná. According to the Municipal Hospital Padre Germano Lauck, Stevens sustained burns on about 80% of his body and was admitted in critical condition to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he remains sedated, intubated, and reliant on mechanical ventilation.
