TUI is flying stranded Norwegians home from the Maldives
TUI is organizing flights to bring stranded Norwegian tourists back home from the Maldives amid a complex situation affecting travel in the region.
TUI Norge is actively working to repatriate stranded tourists, with a charter flight scheduled to travel from the Maldives to Frankfurt on Saturday. Communication chief Anne Mørk-Løwengreen emphasized the complexity of the situation and noted ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of their guests as they navigate travel disruptions across various destinations. Approximately 50 Norwegian travelers have been affected, with ten already returned to Norway.
In conjunction with the Maldives operation, TUI is also addressing the needs of stranded Nordic guests in Thailand, arranging a special charter flight from Phuket to Arlanda, Sweden.
