Travel companies have begun to bring home travelers

The travel company Tui has started flying stranded travelers home, while other companies are considering doing the same due to the closure of airspace caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and Asia.

Travel company Tui has initiated efforts to repatriate stranded travelers, particularly Swedish charter tourists who have been trapped in the Middle East and Asia following the recent closure of airspace due to escalating conflict in the region. The company's communications manager, Anne Mørk-Løwengreen, indicated that the first flights from Gulf Airlines are expected to commence soon, potentially as early as Tuesday.

In addition to Tui, other travel companies such as Apollo and Ving are also exploring options to bring their travelers back home. Ving's press spokesperson, Anna Hagberg, mentioned that they are maintaining close communication with airlines that have resumed flights, aiming to identify feasible solutions for the safe return of stranded passengers. The situation remains fluid, and it is uncertain how many travelers will be able to leave the affected regions at this time.

The closure of airspace has left countless tourists stranded, highlighting the impact of the ongoing conflict on international travel. As travel companies respond to this crisis, the safety and well-being of those still in the region remain a priority, as they navigate complex logistical challenges to facilitate safe departures.
