Latvian skier Eiduka finished just outside the top twenty in a sprint competition held in Finland, demonstrating a solid performance in the qualifying rounds.

Latvian skier Eiduka showcased her skills in a recent sprint competition in Finland, where she recorded the 17th best time in the qualifying round, finishing in three minutes and 12.47 seconds. Although she finished 9.57 seconds behind the fastest qualifier, Sweden's Jonna Sundling, Eiduka's strong performance allowed her to advance to the quarter-finals. In this round, she placed fifth, ultimately securing a 21st position overall in the competition.

The event saw Sundling emerge as the victor after a close final, where she outpaced her compatriot Linna Svahn by just 0.17 seconds. The bronze medal went to Germany's Koleta Ridzeka, who finished 0.84 seconds behind Sundling. On the men's side, Latvian competitors Niks Saulītis, Raimo Vīgants, and Lauris Kaparkalējs unfortunately did not advance past the qualification stage, finishing in the lower rankings against Norwegian star Johannes Klæbo, who took the win in the men's sprint race.

Looking ahead, the next significant event on the schedule includes a ten-kilometer race in the freestyle category, set to begin at 11:30 on Sunday. The continuing season holds promise for Latvian ski racers as they seek to improve their standings in upcoming events, likely fostering a competitive spirit among the athletes.
