20 km/l mileage, price under 1 million, Toyota launches 7-seater car

Toyota has launched a new variant of the Rumion MPV, the cheapest model available under 1 million rupees.

Toyota has introduced a new variant of its Rumion MPV, positioned as the most affordable option in the market at a price under 1 million rupees. The new base variant, designated as 'E', is priced at 9.56 lakh rupees, which is 95,000 rupees less than the previous base variant, providing a more budget-friendly option for consumers looking for a spacious vehicle. There are a total of four trims available: E, S, G, and V, each offering various features tailored to different customer preferences.

The new E trim includes features such as LED taillights and 15-inch steel wheels, and is equipped with manual air conditioning, rear parking sensors, and six airbags to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers. The base variant comes with a manual gearbox option, while automatic options are available in higher trims, but this base model does not include an automatic gearbox. This addition to the lineup is indicative of Toyota's strategy to appeal to the budget-conscious segment of the Indian car market.

Although the newly launched E trim is less expensive, Toyota has chosen to maintain the pricing of the other variants, which means that those customers will continue to pay the same prices as before. This could signal a shift in strategy to attract more buyers in a highly competitive market, ensuring that more consumers can consider Toyota's offerings as viable options without compromising on features or safety.
