Mercedes-Benz has relaunched its luxury MPV, the V-Class, in India after a four-year wait, priced starting at ₹1.40 crore, equipped to compete with other luxury MPVs.

After a prolonged wait of four years, Mercedes-Benz has officially reintroduced its luxury MPV, the V-Class, to the Indian market. This vehicle comes with an attractive design and a powerful engine, and has been priced starting at ₹1.40 crore (ex-showroom). The V-Class is positioned to directly compete with other luxury MPVs such as the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM, highlighting its potential appeal to affluent customers seeking a luxurious travel experience.

Significantly, the V-Class will be locally manufactured in India, which is expected to not only keep its pricing competitive but also strengthen Mercedes-Benz's portfolio in the Indian automobile market. The updated model has been brought to India with a fresh design that was globally unveiled in 2023. Its distinct features include Mercedes’ signature grille and classic styling, alongside an exceptionally long wheelbase of 3,430 mm, making it the longest of any car under the Mercedes brand available in India.

Standard features of the new V-Class include AMG Line styling, with a star-pattern grille, sporty bumper, and multi-beam LED headlights, enhancing its luxurious appeal. This model is seen as a strategic move by Mercedes-Benz to cater to the growing demand for luxury vehicles in India while also leveraging local manufacturing capabilities to improve affordability and availability in the competitive MPV segment.
