Businessman is kidnapped after robbery at factory on payday in MG
A businessman was robbed and kidnapped in Perdigão, Brazil, during employee payday, resulting in police action to locate the perpetrators.
In Perdigão, a businessman was kidnapped following a robbery at his factory on a day when employees were being paid. The incident took place on Thursday, the 5th, and involved three assailants, one of whom has been arrested while the other two remain at large. Eyewitnesses, including employees, reported that the robbers gained access to the premises by force and directly threatened the owner, indicating they had prior knowledge of the factory's payday schedule.
The police believe that the assailants were specifically targeting the company due to the cash that would be on hand for the payroll. After successfully stealing around R$ 3,000, they forced the businessman into his own vehicle and fled towards a nearby rural community. The military police were notified immediately after the crime and implemented tracking measures to intercept the suspects at city exits and rural roadways.
Fortunately, the kidnapped businessman managed to escape his captors and reach the home of a relative in the Santo Agostinho neighborhood. His experience highlights serious issues concerning workplace security and criminal foresight in targeting vulnerable businesses during payday, prompting calls for improved safety measures in local industries and heightened law enforcement presence in the region.
