Kumar Sanu Will Withdraw Defamation Case! The Singer Set This Condition in Front of Ex-Wife

Bollywood playback singer Kumar Sanu has stated that he will withdraw his defamation case against his ex-wife Rita Bhattacharya if she publicly apologizes.

Famous Bollywood playback singer Kumar Sanu is involved in a legal dispute with his ex-wife Rita Bhattacharya. During a hearing at the Bombay High Court regarding the defamation claim filed by Sanu against Bhattacharya, he expressed his willingness to withdraw the ₹50 crore lawsuit if she issues a public apology. The conflict stems from several interviews given by Bhattacharya, which Sanu found to be deeply damaging to his reputation.

Sanu's lawyer, Sana Rais Khan, spoke exclusively to Aaj Tak about the singer's decision to take such a serious step against his former wife. According to the lawyer, the interviews not only questioned Sanu’s character but also made remarks about his current daughters, which were deemed unacceptable for any father. Following these defamatory claims, Sanu felt he had no choice but to turn to the legal system to safeguard his reputation.

The Bombay High Court's involvement indicates the seriousness of the situation. Sanu’s declaration shows his desire to settle the matter amicably, provided that Bhattacharya acknowledges her alleged wrongdoings publicly. This case highlights the challenges faced by public figures in maintaining their personal and professional dignity amidst marital disputes, particularly when accusations can have significant reputational implications.
