Vilnius criminal investigators successfully apprehended a pair of dangerous suspects who orchestrated a planned robbery in January of this year. According to investigation findings, the suspects lured the victim to a secluded location under the guise of selling copper that the victim intended to buy. During the meeting, the situation escalated when one suspect sprayed the victim with pepper spray, incapacitating him, while the other assaulted him physically, demanding money and stealing two of his iPhones.

The assault on the victim did not conclude with the theft of property; the suspects further threatened the victim after he claimed to be out of money. One of the criminals pointed a gun at the victim's head, reiterating demands for cash. Using the victim's phone, the attackers contacted the victim's companion who accompanied him, demanding she bring €10,000 to the scene in exchange for the victim's safety.
