Robbers run rampant in Vilnius: one attacked man lost his phone, another lost money
In Vilnius, two separate robbery incidents were reported where victims lost their mobile phones and cash due to attacks by unidentified individuals.
On February 14, a man born in 1985 approached the police to report a robbery incident that occurred at around 9 PM on Medeinos Street in Vilnius. The victim stated that he was threatened by unknown individuals, who stole his Huawei P40 Lite mobile phone and wallet containing a bank card and cash, leading to a reported loss of €300. The police have begun an investigation into this robbery case.
Additionally, another robbery incident took place the same day around 5:30 PM on Kalvarijų Street in Vilnius, where a man born in 1963 was attacked by two individuals who stole €50 from him. This highlights a concerning trend of increasing robbery incidents in the city, prompting local authorities to enhance their efforts in ensuring public safety and crime prevention.
In response to the rising number of reported thefts and robberies, the police have initiated preliminary investigations into both cases.
