Corinth Pipeworks to acquire LSAW pipe mill in the UK
Cenergy Holdings has announced its acquisition of an LSAW pipe mill in Hartlepool, UK, enhancing its capacity and market presence in the global energy sector.
Cenergy Holdings has taken a significant step in the steel pipe industry's long-term growth by acquiring a LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded) pipes manufacturing facility located in Hartlepool, UK. This acquisition, formalized through an Asset Sale Agreement (ASA) signed on March 4, 2026, involves Corinth Pipeworks UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Corinth Pipeworks S.A. The value of the deal amounts to GBP 10,000,000 and has been facilitated through the joint administrators appointed by the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales, acting on behalf of Liberty Pipes (Hartlepool) Ltd, which is currently in administration.
The Hartlepool facility, established back in 1926, possesses a distinguished history of providing high-performance pipe solutions to some of the world's leading energy companies, including Shell, BP, Total, and Equinor, as well as to top subsea engineering firms like Subsea 7 and Saipem. This acquisition not only boosts Corinth Pipeworks’ manufacturing capabilities but also strengthens its strategic position in the competitive global energy market. The increase in capacity at the Hartlepool plant will be essential for meeting rising demand in an industry that continues to evolve with new energy challenges.
Overall, this strategic investment aligns with Corinth Pipeworks’ ambitions to expand its footprint in the international market while ensuring they are well-equipped to serve their valued clients in a rapidly changing energy landscape. As the energy sector shifts towards sustainable practices, having advanced manufacturing capabilities in place is critical for continued success and growth in the industry.
