INSS opens slots for medical examination service in cities of the interior of SP; see how to schedule
INSS has launched 4,400 new slots for medical examination services across various cities in São Paulo to reduce wait times and improve access for applicants.
The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) in Brazil has announced the opening of 4,400 new slots for medical examination services in several cities in the state of São Paulo, including areas such as Itapetininga, Sorocaba, Bauru, and São José do Rio Preto. This initiative is part of INSS's efforts to decrease waiting times for medical evaluations, particularly for those seeking temporary disability assistance and the Continued Benefit Grant (BPC).
The new medical examination slots are specifically reserved for individuals who have applied for temporary incapacity aid and BPC. The distribution of these slots across different municipalities aims to optimize the accessibility of these services, addressing common complaints about the lengthy wait times experienced by applicants. Some of the featured cities with available slots include Jundiaí, which has 100 slots; Tietê, Laranjal Paulista, and Cerquilho each with 48 slots; and Jales, which boasts the highest number with 240 slots.
As part of the new scheduling protocol, interested individuals are advised to schedule their appointments in advance, especially for weekend services, by contacting the provided phone number. This development highlights the INSS's commitment to improving its services and ensuring that citizens can access necessary medical evaluations in a timely manner, ultimately supporting their entitlement to social security benefits.
