Attica Road: Traffic regulations at the Fyli junction – How traffic will proceed towards the Airport
Traffic regulations will be implemented on the Attica Road on March 6 and 7 due to maintenance work at the Fyli junction.
On March 6 and 7, 2026, significant traffic regulations will be instituted on the Attica Road, specifically due to necessary maintenance work on the roof of the underpass at the Fyli junction. According to announcements by the Greek police (EL.AS), during the hours from 21:00 to 09:00 the following day, there will be a complete blockade of the Attica Road at location A 19,000 heading towards the Airport in the municipality of Fyli.
During this period of blockage, traffic moving from Elefsina towards the Airport or Markopoulo will be redirected via exit 6 at Fyli. Subsequently, vehicles will re-enter the Attica Road towards the Airport using the Eastern Fyli toll station. The Greek police have advised drivers to exercise extra caution while passing through areas under construction and to adhere to existing traffic signs, ensuring safety during this temporary disruption.
These traffic regulations will affect many commuters and travelers heading to the Airport, necessitating careful planning and consideration of alternative routes. The announcement serves as a vital reminder of the ongoing infrastructure improvements within the region, aimed at enhancing traffic flow and safety in one of Greece's busiest transport corridors.
