Firjan is offering a free training course for people with disabilities in Macaé, Brazil, with 20 available slots.
Firjan Senai Sesi has launched a free qualification course aimed at people with disabilities for the position of Industrial Production Operator in Macaé, a city in Northern Fluminense. The program offers a total of 20 spots to local residents aged 18 and over. This initiative is part of the Halliburton Project: Energy in Diversity and will span five months, consisting of 424 hours of classes held in person at the Firjan Senai unit in Macaé from Monday to Friday, starting on April 6.
Applications for the course are available online and are free, with a deadline set for March 18, though this date may be subject to change. The program is designed to enhance professional qualifications and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, as explained by Eliane Damasceno, Firjan Sesi's Social Responsibility Manager. This initiative highlights the commitment to inclusivity and offers critical vocational skills needed in the industrial sector, which can lead to improved economic participation for individuals with disabilities.
The emphasis on diversity in training not only benefits participants but also addresses broader social challenges by promoting accessibility in the workplace. By focusing on skills development tailored to people with disabilities, Firjan is contributing to change within the industry, encouraging companies to recognize the value of a diverse workforce. This program is a progressive step in enabling greater equity and representation in Brazil’s labor market, especially in industrial production roles that often overlook such segments of the population.
