Detran carries out road signaling services on PA-255 in Monte Alegre
The Detran is finalizing road signaling services on the PA-255 highway in Monte Alegre, Pará, aimed at improving traffic safety and organization.
The Department of Transit of the State of Pará (Detran) is nearing completion of road signaling work on several state highways, with a focus on PA-255 in Monte Alegre, located in the western part of the state. The initiative, backed by the State Government, includes both vertical and horizontal signage designed to enhance safety and traffic management on these routes. Notably, the signaling efforts in Monte Alegre are concentrated in rural sections that pass through the Vila do Airi area.
The actions taken by Detran contribute to a broader project that aims to upgrade over 50 highways across the State of Pará. This initiative is intended to facilitate transportation for the local population while simultaneously ensuring the safety of both drivers and pedestrians. The government's commitment to road safety is reflected in the systematic approach to traffic management through improved signage and maintenance of existing road infrastructure.
Bento Gouveia, the technical-operational director of Detran, emphasized the critical role of proper road signaling as one of the three main pillars of traffic safety, alongside enforcement and education. He highlighted the importance of public awareness regarding road signage and urged community members to be attentive to traffic regulations to prevent accidents and enhance safety on the roads.
