Detran inspects electric trios and support vehicles in pre-Carnival operation in Salvador
The State Department of Transit (Detran-BA) is conducting inspections on electric trios and support vehicles ahead of the Carnival in Salvador.
The State Department of Transit (Detran-BA) has commenced inspections of electric trios, mini trios, and support vehicles that will participate in the Carnival circuits in Salvador. This operation will continue until Wednesday, the 11th, which is the day before the official start of the Carnival festivities. The inspections are aimed at ensuring safety on the roads and compliance with regulations relevant to the event.
During the inspection process, officials assess critical safety items including brakes, tires, fire safety equipment, vehicle documentation, and the mechanical condition of the vehicles. Those vehicles that pass the inspection will receive a 'inspected vehicle' sticker affixed to their bodywork, while those that do not meet the standards must address their deficiencies and return for a reassessment. This initiative reflects a commitment to the safety of all Carnival participants.
The inspections are not conducted in isolation but are a cooperative effort involving several agencies, such as the Military Fire Corps, Technical Police Department, Regional Engineering and Agronomy Council, and Salvador Tourism Company. Alongside vehicle inspections, Detran-BA is also slated to implement additional support operations as the Carnival approaches, highlighting the collaborative effort to uphold safety during this festive season.
