Apple introduces affordable colored laptops

Apple is launching new budget-friendly laptops aimed at students and casual users amidst rising memory prices.

Amid rising memory prices due to a supply shortage, technology giant Apple is set to launch new affordable devices on the market. This week, Apple has been introducing its new products daily, and on the previous evening, the company showcased the new MacBook Neo laptop. Priced starting at $599 (or 516 euros), these laptops will be available for purchase starting March 11.

The target audience for these laptops includes students and other users who do not require high computing power, such as for tasks like editing 3D videos. The new laptops come in four color options: silver, blush, citrus, and indigo, offering an appealing variety for young users. The base model features 256GB of storage, while a higher-end model priced at $699 includes 512GB and offers customizable touch capabilities, aiming to cater to a broad range of user preferences and budgets.

Powered by the A18 chip, which also runs models of the iPhone 16 Pro, this new laptop reflects Apple's strategy to diversify its product offerings beyond premium devices. By introducing these budget-friendly laptops over a week instead of just one day, Apple signals its intent to capture a wider market share while responding to increasing consumer demands for more accessible technology. Earlier in the week, Apple also unveiled the iPhone 17 and the M4 tablet, indicating its ongoing commitment to innovation across various product lines.
