A recent study conducted by the Omakotiliitto, the Association of Detached House Owners in Finland, has illustrated that Savonlinna is the most expensive municipality for detached homeowners in this country, where annual municipal costs can reach €6,755. This represents an increase of €298 from the previous year, reflecting a trend of rising expenses for homeowners in the region. Conversely, Kittilä has been identified as the least expensive municipality, with annual costs at €5,140, marking a mere rise of €27 from last year. The disparity between the two places amounts to €1,615, highlighting significant regional variances in housing costs within Finland.
