On the festival of Holi in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, a minor disagreement over the playing of colors quickly escalated to violent clashes between two groups, leading to injuries of 11 individuals involved in the altercation. The confrontation erupted in the village of Tikaria, under the Deva police station area, where tensions flared following an argument during the festive celebrations.

The dispute escalated within minutes, resulting in both sides attacking each other with sticks, rods, and other blunt objects for approximately ten minutes. The sudden outbreak of violence caused panic among local residents, prompting many to seek shelter in their homes out of fear.
