São José and Taubaté have a decrease in vehicle registrations in February, says Fenabrave
São José dos Campos and Taubaté experienced declines in vehicle registrations in February compared to January, according to Fenabrave data.
In February, the vehicle registration numbers for São José dos Campos and Taubaté showed a decline when compared to January, as reported by Brazil's National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution (Fenabrave). São José dos Campos recorded 944 new vehicles sold last month, down from 984 in January, which represents a 4.06% decrease. Similarly, Taubaté saw its vehicle registrations fall from 390 in January to 374 in February, translating to a decrease of 4.1%.
Despite the monthly decline, the overall vehicle sales in São José dos Campos during the first two months of the year show an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period in the previous year. In January and February combined, 1,928 new vehicles were sold this year compared to 1,795 last year. In contrast, Taubaté showed a slight decrease of 0.39% for the same time frame, indicating a minor decline in its vehicle sales when the bimesters are compared.
