Plans to build over 1100 homes on NRK property
Ferd Eiendom plans to construct 1150 residences on the NRK site in Marienlyst as NRK prepares to relocate by 2030.
Ferd Eiendom has proposed the construction of 1150 homes on the NRK property located in Marienlyst, as NRK plans to move its operations to EnsjΓΈ by 2030. The development aims to include both residential units and a hotel, as indicated by recent plans discussed in Avisa Oslo.
Despite the plans exceeding the number of homes recommended in the municipality's development plan, the Plan- og bygningsetaten (PBE) has approved the proposal. The agency supports the development of additional residences in the area to help address housing demand, but has also indicated a preference for a modified plan that would result in a slightly lower number of homes. This adjusted plan would allow for the inclusion of community facilities such as a multi-purpose hall and would help preserve more of the existing cultural heritage on the site.
The development proposal is currently open for public consultation, with a feedback deadline set for April 27. This consultation process will allow local residents and stakeholders to voice their opinions on the planned development and its implications for the community.
