Abia State Governor Alex Otti has launched the upgrade of primary health centres as part of his 'Project Ekwueme' initiative, starting with the Alaukwu Ward Primary Health Centre in Umuagu.

Abia State Governor Alex Otti initiated the upgrade of primary health facilities in the state on Wednesday, highlighting the inauguration of the Alaukwu Ward Primary Health Centre located in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area as the first step. This upgrade is part of his broader health initiative known as 'Project Ekwueme,' which aims to enhance the delivery of healthcare at the grassroots level.

During the inauguration event, which was attended by several officials including the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche, Governor Otti emphasized the importance of ensuring that healthcare services are accessible and of high quality for all residents.
