Man is arrested on suspicion of theft in Barra Mansa

A 30-year-old man was arrested in Barra Mansa, Brazil, on suspicion of theft after he allegedly broke into a store.

The Military Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a break-in at a store in the city center. Witnesses stated that the man had gained access to the establishment by breaking one of its windows, which prompted the police to take action.

Upon arriving, officers attempted to communicate with the suspect, but he refused to respond. In an effort to make him exit the premises, the police used pepper spray. The individual then fled through the window, but was quickly apprehended by the officers outside. During the arrest, the police found cash that was allegedly meant as change for the store, as well as additional items he was preparing to steal.

Following his arrest, the suspect, along with the items found in his possession, was taken to the Barra Mansa police station where he is expected to face charges.
