Lithuania has announced plans to organize an evacuation flight for its most vulnerable citizens, including sick individuals, the elderly, minors, and their families, from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) back to Lithuania. Although specific dates are not confirmed and the flight will not occur tomorrow, officials emphasize that they are working diligently to ensure it takes place soon. In addition to direct actions, Lithuania is actively collaborating with other European Union countries to assist its citizens stranded in dangerous zones. There is a potential for Lithuanian citizens to be offered transport options via charter flights organized by partner states, which could occur at any moment, reflecting a responsive strategy to current needs.

The news comes after a closed-door meeting of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, where Chairman Remigijus Motuzas hinted that the first evacuation flight could take place as early as Thursday.
