Hesburger sales jumped - this was the best-selling product

Hesburger, a fast-food chain in Finland, reported strong sales growth in the past year, achieving a nearly 11% increase compared to the previous year, with the best-selling item being the layered hamburger.

Hesburger, a prominent fast-food chain in Finland, experienced significant sales growth over the past year, reflecting a robust performance in the competitive fast-food market. The total taxable sales of the chain reached approximately 569 million euros, with Finnish restaurants alone contributing around 327 million euros. This spike in sales can be attributed to several factors, including a partnership with delivery service Wolt, advancements in digital tools, and extended opening hours that cater to a wider customer base.

In Finland, the most popular hamburger was the layered hamburger, and the favorite condiment was paprika mayonnaise. The chain's expansion strategy included opening three new restaurants within Finland last year, bringing the total to 259 locations in the country. Notably, Hesburger employs about 6,000 people in Finland, indicating its substantial role in the local employment landscape.

Furthering its expansion efforts, Hesburger also opened 21 new restaurants abroad, with notable openings in Romania and Bulgaria. This international footprint includes locations in Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, where approximately 3,500 employees are working across 236 restaurants. The overall expansion strategy and strong domestic performance position Hesburger as a key player in the European fast-food industry, poised for continued growth in the coming years.
