Uepa announces results of the new gastronomy course; see the list of approved candidates
The State University of Pará has published the results of its special selection process for the new Gastronomy Technology course, admitting 62 students.
The State University of Pará (Uepa) has announced the results of its Special Selection Process for the Bachelor of Technology in Gastronomy, revealing that 62 students have been accepted into the program. This course is considered a pioneering offering among public universities in Brazil's Northern region. A total of 1,772 candidates applied for the 60 available slots, which were split across two class times—afternoon and evening—and included an additional spot per class allocated for individuals with disabilities (PcD).
Currently, Uepa also operates a gastronomy class in Canaã dos Carajás, located in the southeast of Pará, in partnership with the local municipal government. This expansion highlights Uepa’s commitment to providing diverse educational opportunities in the field of gastronomy, catering not only to local but also regional needs for trained professionals in this industry.
Accepted candidates are required to complete their online pre-registration on the same day the results were announced, utilizing the SIGAA public portal. For those who encounter difficulties accessing the portal, in-person registration options are available to ensure all approved students can enroll in the course and start their academic journey in gastronomy.
