Jakob Kulbin finished ninth in the men's junior 10 km sprint at the International Biathlon Union World Championships in Arber, Germany.

At the ongoing World Championships for youth and juniors in biathlon taking place in Arber, Germany, Jakob Kulbin achieved a remarkable ninth-place finish in the men's junior 10 km sprint. Despite making two mistakes in his first shooting round, he completed the second round without any faults, ultimately finishing 1 minute and 18.2 seconds behind the winner. On the ski track, he recorded the ninth-fastest time, falling short of the quickest time by 1 minute and 7.2 seconds. Other Estonian competitors also participated, with Yaroslav Neverov managing to secure the seventh-fastest skiing time despite having five shooting errors, finishing in 27th place, while Maanus Udam encountered three penalty loops, resulting in a 57th-place finish. Rasmus Vainomäe faced difficulties in the shooting range, eventually opting to withdraw from the race. The junior championship was fiercely contested, with 18-year-old Polish athlete Grzegorz Galica taking the gold, despite also having two penalty loops, yet being the fastest on the ski track with a total time of 27:46.4. Silver went to Philip Lindkvist Flötten from Sweden, who had a flawless shooting performance and finished just 23.7 seconds behind, while the bronze medal was claimed by a Norwegian shooter also maintaining a perfect shooting record.
