A serious traffic accident occurred in Panevėžys, Lithuania, on December 20 of last year, when a BMW 730 veered off the road and crashed into the Nevėžys River early in the morning. Witnesses reported that the vehicle hit a pedestrian path barrier, a streetlight pole, and metal bridge railings before plunging into the water. A driver, who was passing by at the time, alerted emergency services, which later retrieved the bodies of three victims from the river: E. G., 30, R. S., 31, and M. S., 20. All the deceased were residents of the Radviliškis district.
