On February 6, around 5:28 PM, an accident occurred on the roadway between Kuršėnai and Mažeikiai when a BMW 550i, driven by a 25-year-old man, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a Škoda Scala, driven by a 16-year-old driving school student. Tragically, a passenger in the BMW, born in 1997, lost his life, while the driver sustained injuries alongside passengers from the Škoda, who were hospitalized due to their injuries.
