The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has initiated evacuation operations for Croatian citizens in the Middle East due to the deteriorating security situation.
In light of the severely deteriorating and unstable security situation in the Middle East, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has commenced evacuation operations for Croatian citizens currently in affected countries. Croatia Airlines has been contracted to assist in their return to Croatia. The government is urging citizens to exercise the highest degree of caution, act calmly and responsibly, and strictly adhere to local authorities' directives. They recommend avoiding all travel to crisis-hit countries, while those already in the region are advised to remain in secure indoors, limit movement, and avoid public gatherings.
In addition to the flight arranged by Croatia Airlines, a second aircraft has been secured in collaboration with AirTrade to retrieve Croatian pilgrims from Israel and transport them to Lyon. From Lyon, these pilgrims will be able to further their journey to Zagreb. This response highlights the urgency and seriousness with which the Croatian government is treating the security risks posed to its citizens and underlines the importance of rapid logistical solutions in crisis situations.
Furthermore, the report also includes insights from experts on the escalation of conflict in Iran and its potential global ramifications, hinting at wider implications of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. The developments not only affect the immediate region but raise concerns over international stability and security, making the evacuation of citizens a priority for the Croatian government.
