The Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that there will be no special evacuation flights for Latvian citizens currently residing in Middle Eastern countries. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry referring to data provided by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. According to the data, there are 799 Latvian nationals living permanently in the United Arab Emirates and 6,383 in Israel, many of whom hold dual citizenship. Although there are short-term travelers registered in these countries, the ministry emphasizes that the situation is subject to constant change.

The Ministry has encouraged Latvian citizens traveling abroad to register their trips in the consular registry via the official portal, Latvia.gov.lv. This recommendation aims to ensure that the government can provide necessary assistance in case of emergencies. Currently, registrations indicate a small number of short-term travelers in other Middle Eastern nations, including Bahrain, Jordan, and Qatar. However, with the situation in the region being volatile, the ministry is advising citizens to stay informed and prepared.
